Building a Space for Teens: New Playground at the Boys & Girls Club of Neenah
We’re proud to announce the completion of a one-of-a-kind project: a custom-designed teen playground at the Boys & Girls Club of Neenah in Wisconsin. This new space redefines what playgrounds can be, created not for toddlers or young kids, but for the physical, social, and developmental needs of older youth.
Designed with Teens in Mind
Traditional playgrounds often fail to resonate with teenagers. That’s why this project focused on creating an engaging, dynamic environment where teens feel like they belong, a place where they can move, connect, and challenge themselves.
Key elements of the design include:
Large motor skill challenges like climbing, balancing, and swinging
High-performance equipment from TrekFit, Berliner, and Playworld
Open layout that encourages social interaction and group play
USA Shade structures for all-weather comfort and usability
Durable poured-in-place surfacing by No Fault, ensuring year-round safety and accessibility

This vibrant space includes some standout features that make it truly unique:
TrekFit’s Bamboo Jungle 18 & Slack 18, built for strength and coordination
Berliner’s Quadrifol, O’Tannenbaum, and Eddie climbers, offering a variety of climbing experiences
Triple-bay swing with ADA access, ensuring inclusivity
Shaded seating and tables for gathering, resting, and connecting
Modern Playworld climbers and shade pyramids, designed for both performance and style
More than just a collection of equipment, this playground creates an experience. It encourages teens to challenge themselves physically, build confidence through movement, and connect with peers in a space that feels built for them, not just handed down from younger age groups. It’s an environment that invites independence, exploration, and social interaction, offering a safe and engaging alternative to indoor screens or unstructured hangouts. For the Neenah community, it’s a valuable investment in youth wellness, engagement, and connection.
