Midwest Playscapes Brings Lake Elmo Park Reserve Playground to Life

Midwest Playscapes is proud to celebrate the opening of a new destination playground at Lake Elmo Park Reserve in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Thoughtfully designed to highlight the natural beauty of the park, this project creates a regional play space where families of all ages and abilities can gather, explore, and connect with nature.

Inspired by the Landscape

The playground design takes full advantage of the park’s topography. With soaring towers, a 14-foot bridge, and climbing structures that mirror the surrounding environment, children are invited to experience adventure in a setting that feels both exciting and grounded in nature. Every element was created with inclusion and accessibility in mind, ensuring that the space is welcoming for the entire community.

Collaboration in Action

This project was made possible through the vision of Washington County and the design leadership of Steve Foss with TKDA Engineering, Architecture, and Planning Design Services. Together with our partners, the playground came to life with innovative materials and expert craftsmanship:

  • Playworld provided dynamic play equipment that sparks imagination.

  • No Fault Surfaces ensured a safe and durable foundation for active play.

A Lasting Community Destination

The Lake Elmo Park Reserve playground is more than a collection of structures—it’s a space designed to grow with the community. It encourages active play, fosters social connection, and reflects Minnesota’s unique outdoor character.

Midwest Playscapes is honored to have contributed to this project and looks forward to seeing the memories and experiences it will inspire for years to come.
